Chart notes
AMERICAN BEAR stalked the early pace then loomed to challenge the leader at the 3/8 pole before being roused into the stretch then dug in through the stretch drive and prevailed. CAN OF CORN was rushed up and set the pace while pressed on the lead then battled into the stretch and ran on while second best. TUN TAVERN got away alertly and rated in the second flight then altered five wide at the top of the stretch and made a bid, resulting in a mild rally late. PENROD got shut off at the start and settled then angled six wide into the stretch and closed willingly. FRANCHUCHIE rated in the middle of the pack early then was urged while four wide at the 3/8 pole and made a bid but just raced evenly in the stretch. GREATDAYFORHOCKEY was allowed to settle early with a five wide trip then angled to the eight path at the 1/4 pole but made no rally late. FLY COMMANDER was fractious in the gate then reared at the start before rating in the second flight early but faded into the stretch.
