Chart notes
COASTAL JAZZ was a pace factor from the outset, pushed to the front nearing the quarter pole then was clear into the stretch under urging and in hand in the final sixteenth. NAVAL HARBOR chased the pace for three furlongs, came two wide to the stretch and held second gamely. GOLDEN RIVER got outsprinted, bid three wide to the stretch and was making up some ground late. THE LAIR stalked the pace early, got outkicked to the second turn while two wide and could not offer the needed late response. FORDY G had no speed, was two wide and finished evenly. STORM CATCHER was four wide early, settled then was roused three wide but came up empty. OLIVIAN hustled along to contest the pace for three furlongs then got outkicked and gave way. COME ON AMP chased the leaders then saved ground but weakened. GOIN' SOUTH was caught six wide to the backstretch and was never a threat. OMACHE GIRL was five wide early and outrun.
