Chart notes
HOT FOR THE GAME was unprepared at the start to break awkwardly giving the field several lengths at the start, steadily closed ground under patient handling to be prominent in upper stretch and swept passed the leader in the final sixteenth to be going away at the wire. POLL POSITION pressed the pace to midway on the turn, assumed command from the tiring pacesetter approaching the quarter pole, went clear turning for home and was no match for the winner late while being clearly second best. WARRIOR'S DOLLY trailed to the top of the stretch and showed some interest in the lane without having any impact. CASTLE DARK set the pace under pressure to the turn, gave way on the bend and was wrapped up down the lane when fading to the rear.
