ACTION HERO rated behind the dueling leaders, angled out in the stretch and drew off driving. LUNAR ROCKET forced the pace outside and continued willingly to the finish. MODICA steadied in tight at the start, bid to contention then flattened out in the stretch. MAJESTIC LION lacked speed then narrowed the gap racing wide. IMMENSE FAITH dropped back inside and stopped losing contact with his field. FIRST MONEY set the pace to the stretch, suffered an injury in mid-stretch and was vanned off. KEEPING IT COUNTRY suffered a catastrophic injury in the opening quarter, was eased and subsequently euthanized. The stewards posted an inquiry into the race.
