MRS. MANICOTTI took the early lead from the gate, settled to press the pace nearing the half mile pole, continued to vie for the lead to upper stretch, edged away in the final furlong and held the closer safe in deep stretch. LOUISE BROOKS was reserved off the pace to midway on the turn, commenced a steady advance nearing the quarter pole and was gaining late with a good belated bid. QUEEN ANNA T raced up the inside to take a short lead approaching the half mile pole, dueled with the winner to mid-stretch and weakened in the final furlong. FUHGEDDABOUDIT tracked the leaders in a clear pocket through the turrn and failed to mount a closing bid for the drive going evenly. PRINCESS GLADYS trailed to the turn, was put to a drive on the bend, failed to respond and never posed a threat.
