Chart notes
PERICLES vied for the early lead, saved ground, drove clear and was kept to the task. DAWSON JAMES lacked early speed, moved up on the outside around the turn, made a wide bid, proved no match for the winner, but was a clear second. MR. MO challenged for the early advantage, raced close throughout, but lacked a late kick. LA NORME DE JOUR raced within striking distance, saved ground around the turn, weakened and was no threat late. DONEGAL NOW raced within contention, faded and was no threat late. THUNDER KISS broke in, trailed the field and was distanced to the wire.
