Chart notes
SUMMIT RIDGE stalked the top pair from the two path, tipped outside of them entering the far turn, ranged up to bid three dep turning turning for home, sparred with only a single inner counterpart nearing the lane then drove clear in the final furlong. STEEL GOLDEN set the pace along the inside as an outer rival applied pressure, vied with that one down the backstretch, then with an outer pair around the far turn, dueled with only the eventual winner approaching the lane, fought on through midstretch but proved no match in the final furlong while hanging on his left lead. FLAMING RAINBOW raced off of the pace in the three path then moved up. THROTTLE broke through the starting gate and dislodged his rider while remaining in the grasps on his assistant starter pre-race, was reloaded without further incident, prompted the leader from the three path into the backstretch, vied shortly after, then in the two path and between rivals around the far turn, but weakened at the quarter pole and caved. SUMMER OF GEORGE lacked speed along the inside and got outrun.
