Chart notes
SWEET FANTASY sprinted to the front, opened up on the field, led throughout and proved much the best, while setting a new track record. MAHONEY ROAD raced within striking distance, came around the second turn on the outside, entered the stretch wide, rallied down the lane, couldn't catch the winner, but got up for second. EYE WITNESS pressed the pace, saved ground around the second turn, was forwardly placed throughout and got caught for second. MR MCGREGOR pressed the early pace, raced close throughout and weakened down the home stretch. THE DONEGAL CLAN lacked early speed, moved up, but was no factor. ESCAPE ARTIST trailed in the beginning, improved position, but was never a threat. PAYNE raced evenly near the back and showed little. MAX IS G MONEY raced near the middle of the field, had an outside trip and faded. LAMBO raced within contention, saved ground around the final turn, dropped back and was outrun.
