Chart notes

BLUFF stalked the pace three wide, seized command near the five-sixteenths marker and readily drew off under left-handed urging. CULPA settled off the pace while racing four wide, edged a bit closer five deep rounding the far turn and ran on to gain the place in the lane. GUS SWAYZE had early speed inside, was rated back and became quite rank at the rail rounding the first turn and down the early portion of the backstretch, was angled out midway down the backstretch, re-bid in the three path entering the far turn, briefly led near the three-eighths marker, could not match strides with the winner and held well enough to preserve the show. DAVID PEPPERMAN was soundly bumped at the start and away last, saved ground off the pace, made some progress around the far turn but was no threat in the lane. DISATTACHED settled off the pace while racing three wide between foes, was in tight quarters between rivals down the backstretch, went four wide between foes around the far turn and lacked a closing bid. FREDERICKSBURG chased the pace three wide and faded inside around the far turn. BIG LOUIE set the pace in the two path and gave way early on the far turn. THE MAR bumped DAVID PEPPERMAN at the start and was always outrun.
