Chart notes
JOHNY'S RENDEZVOUS stumbled at the start then moved up and set the early pace before ceding the lead on the backstretch but came again in the turn and split horses into the stretch, rallying to draw clear. JUDGE DAVIS settled into the first turn then moved up while six wide nearing the 5/8 pole to contest the early pace then loomed at the 3/8 pole and made a bid into the stretch, running on to be second best. MESERO rated in the second flight early with a rail trip then was under a tight hold between horses nearing the 5/8 pole before angling five wide into the stretch and made a late gain. PIERRE was void of early speed and tucked in then altered six wide into the stretch and made a bid, resulting in a mild rally late. PAPA GOLF rated in the middle of the pack into the first turn then moved while five wide to contest the lead nearing the 5/8 pole before battling between horses through the second turn but gave way in the stretch. COVERT LAW got away alertly and stalked the early pace before assuming command into the second turn but was headed and faded in the stretch.
