Chart notes

STORM LADY (GB) was unhurried and was well placed stalking the leaders along the inside, eased out two wide midway on the turn, dropped to the inside into the lane, angled out three wide mid stretch, put to a drive and wore down ZURAYA in deep stretch. ZURAYA (GB) came away best, sat right off the leader along the inside, continued to save ground on the turn, angled outside the leader into the lane, ranged up, led late, but was run down by the rallying STORM LADY in the final fifty yards. VELVET REIGN (IRE) contested the pace three wide into the dirt crossing, was able to cross over to save ground into the turn, maintained a clear lead into the lane, headed with a sixteenth and stayed on to be a clear third. TONAKITTY settled into a comfortable two wide tracking position early, advanced early on the turn three wide, asked once in the lane, but lacked the needed response. BANZAI BETTY was not asked for speed leaving, rider briefly took hold at the crossing, settled along the inside early, advanced inside a runner two wide on the turn, angled out in the lane and rallied to be edged out for fourth. KIZAZI came away cleanly, took a few awkward strides approaching and through the dirt crossing, angled off the rail early on the turn, asked late on the turn, was asked again approaching the sixteenth pole and flattened out. TOKALA came away well, was in between runners at the dirt crossing, continued to be in tight quarters until rival crossed and clears, took the turn two wide, was in range into the lane, but steadily faded under urging. JOBARB angled in early to attempt to save ground, settled three wide on the backstretch, lost ground through the turn and failed to improve. CHAMPAGNIA came away well, was with the leaders early, took a couple awkward steps at the dirt crossing, saved ground into the turn, asked left handed in the upper stretch, but came up empty. ARDENTE came away cleanly, was unhurried by the rider, took a few awkward strides at the dirt crossing, dropped way back, roused into the lane and had no response.
