Chart notes
WOW WHATA PARTY tracked the leaders under patient handling to midway on the turn, was put to a drive nearing the quarter pole, fanned six wide at the top of the lane and advanced steadily down the stretch to take command in the final furlong holding the closer safe late in the drive. FINAL WAR unhurried to be the trailer turning for home circling on the outside and made a good belated bid in the stretch to be second best. VASA pressed the pace for a half mile to be well placed at the top of the lane and lacked a closing rally in the stretch running on to hold the show. CERTAIN stalked the pace through the turn edging closer to loom in upper stretch and finished evenly. THE BOY'S WARRIOR set the pace under steady pressure, battled to the eighth pole and weakened in the final eighth. DOWAGIAC CHIEF slow into stride leaving the gate and trailed throughout never posing a threat.
