Chart notes
BRANDON'S GIRL took over the lead approaching the half-mile pole, maintained a narrow advantage through the turn and into the stretch with PAGE applying constant pressure, then battled gamely with that rival and held firm to the wire. PAGE was a bit slow to begin but advanced to press the pace three-wide by the half-mile pole, then battled BRANDON'S GIRL from the turn through the stretch but could never get a head in front and came up a neck short. TAPIT CARA raced mid-pack two to three wide, kept on well to secure third without threatening the top pair. BANGO GAL settled two-wide near the rear down the backstretch, raced four or five wide throughout, and made mild late-race improvement. JAWDROPPER lunged at the start but was still quickest away to gain a clear lead, was overtaken near the half-mile pole and went evenly thereafter under right-handed encouragement in the lane. RAGAZZA VINCENTE broke on even terms with the rest, but dropped to the rear and chased throughout.
