Chart notes
MARIA CALLAS was rated just off the pace on the inside, drafted along the rail on the turn, was asked while given an inside opening by the leader at the quarter-pole, came through to make a bid then took the lead outside the three-sixteenths pole, shook clear under a drive outside the furlong marker, was given one final pop of the crop outside the sixteenth-pole then was placed under a hand-ride to the finish while much the best. BROKEALLTHERULES went to the front, showed the way in hand, controlled the tempo while inside on the turn, was asked in the two path at the quarter-pole, lost the lead to the winner who came through to her inside in upper stretch and proved no match while clear for the place. ALL OF IT tucked in behind horses inside the seven-eighths pole, was reserved at the back, moved from the rail to the two path while getting closer on the turn, was roused at the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. DISCO STAR settled while moving off the inside, was roused while going from the two path to the four path late on the turn, came into the stretch in the five path and failed to respond. HELLO BEAUTY stalked the pace on the outside, chased in the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, dropped back into the final furlong, swapped back to her inside lead outside the sixteenth-pole and tired. SWEET ANNIVERSARY tossed her head at the start and was last away, raced outside under rating without cover, was asked in the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path and came up empty.
