Chart notes

BORAX showed the way in the two path, built a loose margin while remaining in hand around the turn, responded when set down in upper stretch, drew off under mild hand urging and was wrapped up late. BANYAN BAY stalked along the inside, forged place from an outer rival at the five sixteenths pole, proved no match for the leader after shifting to the two path in upper stretch yet was clearly second best. WITH YOU pressed the eventual winner from the three path, failed to sustain pressure while chasing between rivals turning for home, then gave way yet lasted for show. PRATEEN tucked to the inside while trailing into the turn then moved up but needed more to reel in show. FUNCTIONAL ducked inwardly upon recovering from a bobble when the gates sprung and hurdled the inner temporary rail at the start, recovered smartly to pursue off of the pace early on, tucked to the two path into the turn, swung out to the five path in upper stretch but lacked a bid. WYGUY chased from the four path then tired while being floated to the five to six path into upper stretch. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE START RESULTED IN NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
