Chart notes
COLTRANE steadied in tight along the inside into the first turn, tracked near the inside, tipped out to the four path to take aim outside of the embattled leading pair entering the lane, bid at the furlong grounds and drove past. GOLDEN RESERVE set the pace along the inside as an outer rival prompted, got collared by a wider challenger at the quarter pole, dueled with that one into the lane, then inside of a pair as a wider bidder joined the fray in midstretch, got outkicked by that one at the sixteenth pole then held place. SUNFYRE brushed with an inner foe at the start, tracked from the four to three path around the first turn, pursued in the four path and between rivals passing the half mile pole, pressed in range three deep into the far turn, bid two wide turning for home, dueled into the lane, vied between rivals into the final furlong but got outkicked and was denied place. ROMO was reluctant to load, then broke slow, raced off of the pace in the two path, chased three wide and between horses at the quarter pole and lacked a bid. GOOD LIES pursued from the four to five path into the backstretch, inched closer approaching the half mile pole but flattened out and faded around the far turn. EL GRAN RUCHACHA brushed with an outer rival soon after the start, raced off of the pace along the inside, shuffled behind rivals around the first turn to trail into the backstretch, then made little impact. GUT REACTION prompted outside of the leader and from the three path, but lacked a response to rousing into the far turn, faltered between rivals nearing the quarter pole and was eased through the lane.
