Chart notes
MERLOT sprinted to the front, drove clear, moved to the rail, won under urging, holding off a late challenge by MAXIMUM TRUTH for the win. MAXIMUM TRUTH showed early speed, came around the turn three wide, made a late bid, finished willingly, couldn't get to the winner, but was best of the others. KIPSTER raced within contention, came around the turn four wide, made a mild bid and proved no match for the top two. LETSGOWINTHISTHING lacked early speed, came around the turn wide, moved up, but was no factor. BERNAISE pressed the early pace, saved ground around the turn and faded. TWO STEPPIN RAY raced evenly near the back and was never a threat. TWISTED ZYDECO showed brief speed and made a steady retreat.
