Chart notes
GAZON (GB) stalked the dueling leaders up the backstretch, chased two then three wide on the turn, bid four deep while bumping with AMIGO G A in upper stretch, fought head to head with AMIGO G A in the last sixteenth and dug in to edged that rival for the victory. AMIGO G A tossed his head at the start but still came away with the field, tracked from inside, moved into the two path around the bend, tipped out to bid three deep and bumped with GAZON (GB), put a head in front nearing the sixteenth pole, dueled with GAZON (GB) late and could not hold on. MIO BAMBINO reserved at the back and moved inside, picked up stride and made progress around the turn, lacked room along the fence from upper to midstretch, altered out into the clear and gained third. BURNING RUBBER away quickly to take the lead then dueled inside SAMMY DAVIS, battled with that rival through the turn, brushed the rail entering the lane, carried a short lead into the final furlong, lost command midstretch and weakened late. SAMMY DAVIS rushed up to challenge BURNING RUBBER for command from outside, battled into the final furlong, fought between midstretch and flattened late. STRAIGHT BUZZIN tracked two wide then three wide and never responded down the lane.
