Chart notes
INDIAN PEAK was brushed by the outside foe at the start, kept a close eye on the embattled twosome while nested on the fence down the backside, drafted behind the lead pair under a hard hold wanting to go at the three eighths pole, shifted outside at the quarter marker measuring the leaders, pounced three wide being asked for more runner between rivals in upper stretch, seized control by the furlong pole but had to ridden along in the late going fending off the game runner up outside in deep stretch. MOON LANDING stumbled on the break, recouped to have a good spot on the outside of another tracking the engaged pair down the backstretch, moved closer but was pushed out by the winner four wide at the quarter pole, loomed outside the three leaders with four across straightening out for the drive and determinedly chased the winner in earnest to the wire but could not close the gap any further in the last sixteenth of a mile. YODDHA bobbled on the break, recovered quickly getting a head in front entering the backside, continued on the rail having a narrow margin up top in the turn running, skimmed the fence holding on up front with a host of outside rivals bearing down, gave way surrendering the lead to the winner by the furlong pole but still finished up well enough in deep stretch to be well ahead of others securing the show money. BANKER'S HOURS settled close to the back early on, had the fence through the turn but could not make any headway on the leaders, shifted outside off of rivals in the four path having a clear lane and ran on mildly to settle on the fringes in the end. HARPER CITY had a poor start, breaking in and off slowly as well to be a long last down the backstretch at the half, lagged at the rear while saving all the ground around the oval and while on the fence for the stretch drive had some interest inside in the final furlong passing a weary straggler down the lane. SPRINGER broke outwards on the start, pressed the issue outside the pacesetter down the backside, continued to hound the leader flanking outside throughout the turn, had the two path between horses still in the mix turning for home but could not find another gear for the stretch running and folded with runners on either side coming to the furlong marker.
