Chart notes

DADDY'S SECRET had the three path between horses in a clustered bunch in midfield at the half, rallied three wide at the three eighths pole getting into contention, moved in outside for the lead with a quarter mile remaining, seized control three wide with a furlong to go and found just a bit more late holding sway for the win at the finish line. PEPPER PATCH had the fence sitting just back off the engaged trio down the backside, took the short way around the turn waiting for running room on the rail, angled out finding a tight seam in the four path between horses in upper stretch, took contact being bumped by the outside runner in mid-stretch but was resilient and finished up full of run on the rail charging home in the final seventy yards with a very game effort to be a troubled second best. XARABELLA leapt up on the break to have only one runner beaten leaving the chute, was under a snug hold behind a wall of runners still near the rear at the half, made a strong move swooping around rivals five wide at the quarter pole, had the six path in the hunt turning for home, drifted inwards very much in the thick of things when switching leads nearing the furlong marker but stalled with her run with a sixteenth teaming and just saved the show award from an oncoming rival at the wire. PROPHETIC DEBBY (IRE) had the two path with rivals on both sides sitting in mid-division in a tightly knitted group midway along the backside, travelled three wide get shuffled back at the five sixteenths pole, swung out widest having clear run straightening out for the stretch drive and ran on willingly outside foes capturing a minor share while almost getting up for third place in the process as well. PRINCESS JADE vied between runners in the early stages, took back off the front end with a half mile remaining, travelled two wide dropping out to last by the quarter pole, hugged the rail coming with a run taking the corner, rallied on the fence having an opening in the final eighth of mile but could not sustain forward movement through the late drive and stalled in the last seventy yards. LORRAINE'S BEAUTY pressed the issue inside two others down the backstretch fighting for the front end, opened up putting away both speed rivals by the three furlong marker, was collared outside by the winner at the quarter marker and had little left to offer wilting in the two path in the final furlong. HYMN TO HER was unhurried outside at the back of the pack, made a good move rallying between runners four wide at the quarter marker, had the five path in the conversation up top turning for home, had to be checked in tight quarters with an outside foe drifting inwards coming up to the furling pike losing all momentum and could not factor afterwards. GRAY DEE ONE prompted pace three deep down the backstretch, could not keep up to the leader by the three eighths pole, came under a drive two wide being swallowed up by runners on either side in midturn and had little left in the four path being relegated to last turning for home. STEWARDS INQUIRY REGARDING THE STRETCH RUN RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
