Chart notes
W F PARADOXE broke outward, but came way from the gate to grab the early lead, was joined on the outside by a pair of rivals, responded when asked to quicken in the stretch, dueled with REMARKABLE ME in the upper stretch, but put that rival away in the final furlong to win clear. REMARKABLE ME raced three-wide in the second flight down the backstretch, moved up to join the leading group midway through the turn, dueled with W F PARADOXE in upper stretch ducked in near the furlong marker, and lost some momentum but was a clear second best. BERNLET pressed the pace three-wide, gave way in upper stretch, but stayed on to save third. KINI SUMMER shuffled back after the start, then dropped far back early, then made a belated rally to improve. MISS LEMON raced mid-pack but four-wide in the second flight, moved up in range of the leaders approaching the quarter pole, but flattened out in the stretch. DIAZ IS FINE got pinballed at the start and was off poorly, tracked in the second flight, lost ground before the turn, then came back a bit but was never a serious threat. LEVI'S FIRST showed good speed to contest the early pace from between rivals to the turn, dropped out of contention at the five-sixteenths marker, and had nothing left for the stretch run. DIAZ FOREVER settled near the back and lost contact with the field on the turn. ES POSIBLE was well back early, made a brief bid midway on the turn, but came up empty in the stretch. THE 1/2 MILE FRACTION WAS NOT AVAILABLE DUE TO A TIMING MALFUNCTION.
