Chart notes
GREATWAY set the pace inside, waited confidently around the turn, was cued passing the quarter, then kicked away down the lane to be much the best. BALA'S BEAUTY raced up close in the three path, was ridden between foes in the two path around the turn, lugged in and bumped an inner foe going by the eighth pole, then finished evenly for place. GEEZ LOUISE chased in the two path, was ridden from the three path into the turn, faded in the stretch, but held show. TORCHY BLAINE stalked outside of rivals, was roused from the four path passing the three-eighths pole, but flattened in the stretch. MILLY'S BOW tracked inside, was ridden from the rail, got shut off by an outer rival and checked passing the furlong grounds, then yielded. AFTER A STEWARD'S INQUIRY BALA'S BEAUTY WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM SECOND AND PLACED LAST FOR LUGGING IN AND SHUTTING OFF MILLY'S BOW PASSING THE EIGHTH POLE COSTING THAT ONE A CHANCE OF A BETTER PLACING.
