Chart notes
HUNTS PROMISE vied for the lead around the first turn, tipped inside and opened up entering the backstretch, waited confidently while well clear around the far turn, came under pressure at the top of the lane, and kicked on to maintain a clear advantage to the wire. LAST CALL GENO chased the top two from the three path, was ridden around the far turn, and ran on to clearly be second best. CHASING GRAY vied for the lead along the rail early but had to steady leaving the first turn, tracked the pacesetter up the backstretch, was roused in the two path midway around the far turn, flattened out in the final furlong, but held show. TRINITYTHREEINONE trailed along the rail, passed a tired outer trio midway around the far turn, tipped out to the three path, passing the furlong grounds, and finished evenly. I GOT THE MOVES chased in the two path, was ridden along the inside around the far turn, but made no closing bid. WOLF HUNTER laid off the pace along the rail, was coaxed along in the two path around the far turn, but made no impact. EL JOVERO was wellback in the four path and did not factor. BIG D rated in the two path, floated out to the five path at the top of the stretch, but weakened. STORMYSTORMYNIGHT was wellback in the three path and never threatened. YOUNG MISCHIEF raced in midpack from the four path early but steadily retreated. AFTER A STEWARD'S INQUIRY AS WELL AS AN OBJECTION LODGED BY THE RIDER OF CHASING GRAY AGAINST THE RIDER OF HUNTS PROMISE FOR INTERFERENCE AROUND THE FIRST TURN, HUNTS PROMISE WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED THIRD FOR SHUTTING OFF CHASING GRAY LEAVING THE FIRST TURN IMPEDING THAT ONE OF A FAIR CHANCE OF A BETTER PLACING.
