Chart notes
HAPPY DESTINATION broke sharply getting the early advantage leaving the chute, set a moderate pace uncontested well in hand down the backstretch, rolled along up top through the turn quicken the tempo slightly travelling well within herself, shifted out two wide shooting further away with just the nudge of the rider's hand at the top of the stretch and won comfortably in the end for the gate to wire score. SHE'S GOLD sat off the stablemate between runners tracking down the backside, dropped back a touch outside at the three eighths pole, shifted out three wide picking up the bit when asked for more at the quarter pole, moved to the four-path posing the main threat outside at the head of the lane but no match for the barn buddy in the final furlong and finished up strong enough to be second best on this day. MISS WATERMELON broke outwards on the start, kept a close eye on the frontrunner while three deep at the half, took closer order two wide chasing the leader around the bend, shifted to the three path in the hunt between horses in upper stretch, was no match for the winner who had plenty left in reserve in the final furlong, faded inside in deep stretch losing the secondary battle for the runners up share but was well ahead of the rest for the third place prize. FLEURY hopped on the break trailing in the beginning, shared the rear inside with the group very compact at the half, began to lengthen stride shifting out three wide at the quarter marker, angled to the five path and ran on evenly for a minor share but could not get involved with the lead three runners who were well ahead when crossing the finish line. TIZ PRACTICAL was bumped by the inside rival to be near the rear in the beginning, could see the field being a joint last outside at the half, could not keep in midturn lagging behind the group, moved to the three path for the stretch run and managed to catch a tired foe inside at the sixteenth pole. STROKE OF GENIUS had the rail position sitting in midfield down the backside, took the short way around the turn making little advancement, angled just outside in the two path for the stretch run but had little to give folding inside runners in the final furlong.
