Chart notes
KAYLA'S KOMET established a good position just off the pace, was shuffled back some behind MINUTE BY MINUTE early on the turn, angled from the rail to the four path while roused on that bend, rallied coming to the quarter-pole, brushed with MINUTE BY MINUTE while making a bid between horses in the three path at the top of the stretch, took the lead near the three-sixteenths pole and edged clear under strong urging. MINUTE BY MINUTE broke out at the start, showed speed and contested the pace, dropped back nearing the half-mile pole, drafted inside early on the turn, was asked just inside the three-eighths pole then moved to the two path, gained to make a bid between horses at the top of the stretch, brushed with KAYLA'S KOMET at that juncture and was outfinished while just able to get the place. LIMES DON'T LIE disputed the pace on the outside, moved clear with a half-mile to run, dropped from the three path to the inside on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, lost the advantage under a drive in upper stretch and was also outfinished then just missed the place but was clear for the show. COZY CURLIN KITTEN settled under some urging, was ridden along late on the backstretch, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, came into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. PURLOIN was bumped at the start and forced out into another foe, raced at the rear under urging, dropped from the three path to the two path on the turn and was no factor. JOLLY JOLENE broke a bit awkwardly then was bumped, tracked the pace down the backstretch, chased in the two then three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path, dropped back while remaining on her inside lead in the drive, drifted out inside the furlong marker and capitulated.
