Chart notes
MO FOR THE KING was allowed to settle off the pace two wide, began nudging along inside the half-mile marker and ranged up four wide through the turn, got brushed out by ROMANTIC CHARMER nearing the quarter, raised a bid at the three-sixteenths to claim the lead and drove clear of the rest proving much the best. GONZALO settled off the pace along the inside, came under a loose rein at the three-eighths before receiving his cue to move six wide at the quarter, put together a good run but was no match for the winner. PANTHERIAN got squeezed back shortly after the start, raced off the pace in the two path through the turn, began asking at the three-eighths pole before shifting five wide at the top of the stretch, fought on down the lane to earn the show award. SORORITY PRANK was fractious in the starting gate, broke on top before being met by a pair of runners and vied along the inside, steadied at the five-sixteenths to relinquish his position, chased those two before shifting out three wide nearing the final furlong and kept on. EAST COAST GIRL moved up into a forward position three wide, vied with two others going into the turn, dueled with ANDERMAN after the innermost runner backed off at the five-sixteenths, came under a drive at the quarter until being overtaken along the outside by the eventual winner, flattened out in the final furlong. ANDERMAN moved up to vie between runners going into the turn, began a duel with EAST COAST GIRL as the rival to his inside backed off at the five-sixteenths, was roused about the quarter-pole before giving way at the three-sixteenths and fading the rest of the way. KID RICH was factious as the gate opened up causing the assistant starter to be late on his release, hit the gate at the start and was the last out by many, trailed on before passing a fader in the stretch. ROMANTIC CHARMER was rated close up four wide, began asking at the five-sixteenths brushing out MO FOR THE KING at the quarter, lacked a response in the upper stretch before backing out. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AT THE START, KID RICH WAS DECLARED A NON-STARTER.
