Chart notes
HE'S MY BOY rated in the second flight early with a four wide trip then loomed to contend at the 3/8 pole before racing all out into the stretch, drawing clear late. SGT YORK moved up and assumed command early while setting a slow pace then battled into the turn and ran on to be second best. RUNAWAY POWER broke inward and hit the gate at the start then raced under a tight hold behind horses through the first turn before being steadied at the 3/4 pole then angled out to make a bid while six wide into the stretch but flattened out. WORKSTATION settled early and waited behind the slow, contested pace then waited into the second turn but lacked room before lugging in and bumping BALKI BARTOKOMOUS at the 1/16 pole then ran on through the wire. BALKI BARTOKOMOUS chased the pace while three wide before making a bid between horses at the 1/4 pole but was bumped by WORKSTATION and steadied at the 1/16 pole then raced evenly through the stretch. DREAM POLICE got away alertly and pressed the pace along the inside then moved to contend at the 1/2 pole before dropping back into the turn then was in tight and steadied at the 1/16 pole when WARKSTATION lugged in before fading. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY AND THE RIDER OF BALKI BARTOKOMOUS CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST WORKSTATION ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. FOLLOWING REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED WORKSTATION FROM FOURTH PLACE TO FIFTH PLACE.
