Chart notes

DUKE OF SUGGINS controlled the pace inside and gradually extended his advantage remaining clear throughout driving. ALASTAR trailed early, rallied and crowded rival at the eighth pole and finished well. CHILLING ZENSATION raced in closest pursuit of the winner and continued willingly. WILLISAU stalked the pace outside, bid three wide on the turn then faltered. AMERICA'S POINT angled in the two path initIal quarter mile and gave way. KING OF THE CROSS dropped back early, saved ground, was taken up sharply at the eighth pole. Following a steward's inquiry and an objection by the sixth finisher the second finisher for interference in the stretch, ALASTAR was disqualified and placed last.
