Chart notes
MARCHIN INTO APRIL set the pace inside, was cued midway around the turn, and kicked on under a drive down the lane to draw away. MAGIC BAY steadied at the start, laid up close inside, was roused from the two path passing the quarter, took aim in the three path at the top of the lane, and chased home the winner to be second best. SUPREMELY WICKED pressed the inner eventual winner from the two path, continued under a drive around the turn, floated out to the five path at the top of the stretch, but faded. TOROTORO stalked the top two from the three path, was pushed along around the turn, but flattened in the stretch. WAR SALUTE hopped at the start, chased outside of rivals from the five path but was never a factor. THE PIRANHA rated in the four path but never threatened.
