Chart notes
HALL OF JAZZ prompted the inner pacesetter, bid in the three path around the far turn, held a narrow lead at the top of the lane, dueled with a stubborn outer foe to the wire, and inched ahead in the final strides. LINO'S FIRE stalked in the three path, was driven around the far turn, ranged up to bid in the four path at the top of the stretch, led while dueling with an inner rival into the final furlong, but got edged out by that one in the closing stages. MAX BARLEY rated in the three path, was ridden into the far turn, swung from the four path into the lane, and kept on to get up for show late. CARCHAROTH showed the way from just off the rail, was roused along the inside midway around the far turn, fought on turning into the stretch, but faded in the final furlong. LETSPUMPTHEBRAKES steadied in the two path around the first turn, continued under a hold from a tracking position up the backstretch, came under a ride midway around the far turn, got stuck in traffic going by the quarter, then flattened down the lane. LUCKY DOUBLE ZERO steadied at the start, was held up in the three path around the first turn, trailed from there up the backstretch and never threatened.
