Chart notes
SENSE OF WONDER rushed up after a tardy start to join NEW JERSEY FEVER for the lead, dueled with that rival through the turn, edged ahead entering the stretch and held a slight advantage late, drifted inward near the wire and made solid contact with NEW JERSEY FEVER, crossed the finish first but was disqualified and placed second. NEW JERSEY FEVER jumped out to the early lead but came under pressure from SENSE OF WONDER to the outside, dueled with that rival through the turn, came under a full-out drive at the quarter pole, was gaining again late when bumped by SENSE OF WONDER near the wire. MESOPOTAMIA backed out of an early pace battle, tracked the leaders along the inside through the turn, and came under pressure leaving the quarter pole, but lacked the response to make a serious bid and held position through the stretch. KATISCHUO raced mid-pack in the two-path, finished willingly but was never a serious threat. ZOEY'S HONOR was outpaced from the break, saved ground to the turn, steadied midway through it while lacking a clear path, then remained inside into the stretch but lacked a finish. COUNTY was done early and had nothing to offer in the stretch. THE JOCKEY ON #3 NEW JERSEY FEVER LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #6 SENSE OF WONDER ALLEGING INTEFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH. AFTER A LENGTHY REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UPHELD THE OBJECTION AND DISQUALIFIED #3 NEW JERSEY FEVER FROM FIRST TO SECOND.
