Chart notes
TANIST was under a snug hold quite relaxed on the rail dictating the pace, spurted clear when let out a notch when an outside pressed the issue briefly outside at the five eighths pole, cruised along unopposed through the final bend, edged away further under a well rationed out ride at the furlong pole and had just enough in reserve in deep stretch to prevail at the finish line for the wire to wire tally. BALBONI'S CREW was forwardly positioned outside watching the front three runners, inched up three deep at the half, travelled three wide on the final bend edging closer at the quarter pole being called upon for more, had the four path posing the only threat to the winner in mid-stretch but needed just a bit more in the late going when closing in willingly under a busy ride in the late going but could not get there in time. WAHEELA had one runner beaten while just off the fence, narrowed the margin creeping up the rail at the seven sixteenths pole, shifted out being scrubbed on for more coming with a good run at the quarter pole, moved to the five path for the stretch drive but was no match for the top duo in the last sixteenth of a mile and just gutted it out lasting at the wire for the show award. YOU'RE SO LUCKY cantered along co tent on seeing the field in the early stages, started to pickup inside runners two wide at the three eighths pole, continued to reach for more ground three wide at the quarter marker, shifted to the four path sustaining a good rally through the last furlong and almost closed in on the last jump outside for third at the finish line. RUNNER EYES contently tracked the frontrunner two wide outside on the beginning bend, moved in for a brief moment at the five furlong pole, chased but making no gain at all being driven on two wide between foes at the five sixteenths marker. BORDER FOX settled on the rail keeping a close eye on the lead two runners, had the fence waiting move behind the leader at the five sixteenths worker, was urged by a right handed crop at the quarter pole offering little rally and faltered inside rivals in the final furlong. CELESTIAL HEART travelled three wide around the first of two turns close to the back end, continued three deep making no gain down the backside, was relegated to last having little run at the midpoint of the final turn, skimmed the fence passing a outside straggler straightening out for the drive but could not factor any further down the lane. TURBO CHARGED had the fence sitting in midfield in the beginning, made no change with the field quite strung out along the backstretch, was roused for more two wide at the quarter pole offering no kick to be last in the three path turning for home and was no menace through the stretch drive.
