Chart notes

TAMPA STORM chased the pace on the outside, gained to make a bid at the nine-sixteenths pole, vied in the four path on the turn, dropped to the three path while moving clear at the quarter-pole and drew away under steady urging to prove much the best. HURRICANE KAZ was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace into the turn, chased in the three path through that bend and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. LET'S GET WEIRD settled off the pace, was asked in the three then four path on the turn, came into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response while just able to get the show. PORTADOWN LAD brushed with a rival at the start then dropped back, moved from the three path to the inside on the turn, angled out in upper stretch and improved for the last spot in the superfecta. ALWAYS HONEST chased the pace, dropped back in the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path and tired. NORDIC FYRE was ridden along off the pace, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the turn, moved out outside the furlong marker and failed to rally. SPEIGHTFUL STORM was hustled to the front then set the pace, vied in the two path early on the turn, lost the advantage inside the half-mile pole, moved to the rail outside the quarter-pole and weakened. VIOLENT ACT was hustled from the gate, raced just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, altered to the three path into the stretch, moved out around the furlong marker and failed to rally. WAR PROFITEER had his saddle adjusted behind the gate, brushed with a rival at the start, was urged along towards the rear, raced inside to the three path on the turn, came into the stretch in the four path then moved further out and failed to threaten. IT'S BANKSY was reluctant to load, settled off the pace, was roused in the four path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and failed to respond. MIDAS' BANKER broke a step slow, saved ground on the turn and trailed.
