Chart notes
AMERICAN FARMER stalked the early pace while two wide, was asked to quicken in the final turn, then tipped out four wide, and drew clear under handling. LEMON MERINGUE pressed the pace in the backstretch outside of CONCRETE COWBOY, gained a short advantage in the final turn, then just held for place honours. CONCRETE COWBOY set a pressured pace, responded to a challenge from LEMON MERINGUE, battled on inside and gave way grudgingly in the final yards. LEGAL ASSASSIN was three wide in the first turn, dropped back in the backstretch, chased five wide in the last turn, and went evenly in the stretch. TRAPEZE trailed early, chased four to five wide, and closed well late. VICTORIA'S CHIEF was brushed in the opening turn, steadied in the final turn and weakened. ALL RUN was never far back, lacked running room leaving the backstretch, and yielded in traffic early in the stretch. RAPTURE BAY was four wide in the first turn, then brushed VICTORIA'S CHIEF, charged up four wide to challenge the front, and tired. WRIT IN STONE stalked four wide in the first turn, and faded gradually. FROSTEDBIRD was outsprinted in the opening turn, and tired early. JOCKEY OBJECTION- An objection was lodged by the rider of VICTORIA'S CHIEF against the rider of LEGAL ASSASSIN alleging interference at the head of the stretch was disallowed.
