Chart notes
VECTOR vied between foes into the opening turn for the early lead, responded to a challenge from HYPERFOCUS, drifted out late stretch and held under a drive. HYPERFOCUS was five wide into the opening turn, sat just off the pace, moved up alongside VECTOR to challenge the lead, battled on late stretch, dug in the final strides and was narrowly outfinished. QUARTERBACK DAK encountered traffic leaving the opening turn, advanced quickly while four wide in the backstretch, closed gamely late and just missed. HORATIO vied outside, lodged a rail bid at the head of the stretch, was in tight, deep in the stretch and missed. WICO (IRE) trailed the field, advanced quickly in the far turn, and closed late. LANSDOWNE (GB) stalked the pace from the rail, and lacked a bid. PICCATA PRINCE tracked three to four wide, and failed to threaten in the stretch drive. DRINKING AGAIN was six wide in the first turn, and faded. SPARKLET showed little. THOMPSON failed to threaten. JOCKEY OBJECTION and STEWARDS INQUIRY- An objection was lodged by the rider of HORATIO against the riders of VECTOR and HYPERFOCUS alleging interference in the late stretch; it was disallowed.
