Chart notes
TWO GOOD OLD GUYS raced within contention, saved ground around the turn, waited, lacked running room, got through on the rail entering the stretch and drove clear . MINGLING MO vied for the early advantage, forwardly placed throughout, proved no match for the winner, but was a clear second. DIRTY STRAIGHT UP raced near the back in the beginning, moved up on the outside around the turn, took the lead, but lacked a late kick. DYNAMITE TONIGHT lacked early speed, showed late interest, racing on the rail and just missed show. HAND lacked early speed, came around the turn on the outside and passed tired ones. FLASHY BOY pressed the early pace, came around the turn four wide and faded. PERICLES raced in the middle of the field, weakened and was no threat late. COATTAILS showed brief speed and made a steady retreat. SPRINGTOWN pressed the early pace and dropped back.
