Chart notes
D'YQUEM sped clear and crossed to the two path then found the rail around the first turn, controlled the pace up the backstretch, inched away from ROYAL PEARL around the far turn, showed the way unchallenged under hand urging into deep stretch and stayed clear to the wire. ROYAL PEARL pulled outside following the leader early, continued keenly in hand on the backstretch, chased two wide through the far turn, pursued with determination down the stretch but had to settle for second best. ROSAURA trailed in the two path, picked up stride three deep on the far turn, flattened in the lane but was able to best the others. NINETEEN FORTY TWO tracked two wide to the stretch and failed to rally. LUCILLE B stalked along the rail then had to take up behind the leader around the first turn, continued in pursuit along the fence up the backstretch and far turn but weakened in the drive. ENDLESS SMOKE settled inside, saved ground to the stretch and failed to menace.
