Chart notes
DR. FILKINS stalked in the two path or outside a rival, drew closer three deep in the middle stages, gained in the three path on the far turn, put a head in front at the eighth pole, dueled with ONE LAST STRIKE through the final furlong and gamely prevailed. ONE LAST STRIKE vied three deep around the first turn, cleared early on the backstretch and crossed over, coaxed along the rail around the far turn, asked for more turning for home, overtaken by DR. FILKINS at the eighth pole, fought back to the wire but could not reclaim the lead. CHAOTIC NEUTRAL sat off the pace in the two path, advanced while angling four wide around the far turn, drifted in the final furlong and gained third. WASTING ACES reserved in the two path, took a bigger hold and pulled into the backstretch, traveled along the inside into the far turn, split rivals and bumped approaching the stretch, chased between rivals in the lane and kept on to earn a minor award. CHALKY'S GOLD broke a step slow and inward, settled inside, eased out to three path around the far turn, moved out further in the drive and lacked a rally. BELLO ROSSO tracked out of range on the inside, moved closer between rivals on the backstretch, chased in the two path then along the rail leaving the far turn and lacked further response. DUKE OF ORLEANS vied between rivals around the first then took a stalking position, was closest in pursuit leaving the backstretch, came under a ride on the far turn still in the two path, took aim in upper stretch and weakened. MORDRED'S REVENGE vied for the lead from inside then took a stalking position early on the backstretch, started to weaken on the far turn, bumped leaving the bend and faded down the lane. LOW KEY COOL broke a step slow and brushed with inner rival, trailed three wide into the first turn then angled to the inside, took an awkward step and took hold midway around the bend, was not persevered with in the lane and walked off.
