Chart notes

PARTY HOTLINE settled near the rear outside in the beginning, briskly advanced outside runners at the half, travelled three wide measuring the loose leader in midturn, moved in pounced in the four path at the top of the stretch, drove on past taking control leaving the furlong marker and won going away in the end. SCAT HUMOR had the rail position in the middle of the pack in the beginning stages, shot up the rail with a quick burst of speed at the half opening up on the field by the three eighths pole on the engine, rolled along unchallenged around the oval, had the two path holding on in upper stretch but was no match for the overpowering late charge by the winner outside in the final furlong and ran on still to best the rest for the runners up share. DEFINITE DIVA broke alertly but then soon dropped back entering the backstretch to be part of the back threesome between runners, started to make a rally four wide circling runners at the quarter pole, swung out widest gathering more speed in the seven path straightening out for home and grinded away outside picking up foes steadily down the stretch winning the battle with the inside foe for the show award. CLOSING APPEAL was reined back between the leaders leaving the chute, got shuffled back at the seven sixteenths pole, was roused offering a sharp turn of foot three wide midway around the bend, angled to the six path entering the lane and kept determinedly coming on through the drive capturing a minor share but just losing the battle for third place inside at the wire. MOMANDA argued the pace inside the leader entering the backstretch, could not quicken with the new leader flying up the rail by the three furlong pole, was driven on saving all the ground but could not close the gap on the pacesetter around the turn, shaved the corner making a rail rally in upper stretch improving for a fleeting moment into third at the furlong pole but cpuld not sustain the stretch run and faed inside rivals in the last sixteenth of a mile. MALIBU BETTY broke inwards on the start, came under a hustling ride at the back of the pack leaving the chute, was a joint last outside three deep with a couple of rivals at the half, lagged behind the field being hard ridden at the five sixteenths pole, angled to the five path looking for a seam in upper stretch but could not get involved running through the lane. SOUPER SPINNER was under a snug hold having a narrow advantage outside early on, surrendered the front end in an instant with the new leader darting up the rail at the half to open up by the three eighths pole, tried to fight back two wide between rivals chasing the pacesetter but making little gain through the turn, shifted to the three path for the stretch run but tired by the sixteenth pole. OLIVIA'S MELODY was bumped on the outside on the start, co-trailed on the fence at the half, took the short way around the turn making little headway, shifted to the three path for the drive to the finish line but could not factor in the late running folding by the sixteenth pole.
