Chart notes
THE PENDULUMSWINGS veered out abruptly on the start, had a head in front on the outside in the beginning, patiently relinquished the lead to the inside rival by the half, calmly began to inch up again outside two wide through the turn, pounced in the three path taking over control at the top of the stretch, opened up at the furlong marker but had to be ridden out to the very end just holding safe at the finish line from the late closing runner up outside. ROCKFORT broke outwards on the start, was paired up with an inside foe close to the back in the third tier alongthe backstretch running, was nudged to go on picking up the bit three wide around horses at the five sixteenths pole then smartly reaching for more ground by the quarter marker, had the four path full of run taking aim on the winner in mid-stretch and never gave in fighting on to the wire but just could not get there in time. THIRD AND FOUR was slammed being forced out by the eventual winner at the start, regained his composure settling inside another in the third flight having only the other troubled starter beaten down the backside, travelled two wide behind rivals on the turn lacking running room at the five sixteenths pole, rallied bullying his way through in the three path coming on at the top of the stretch and kept chipping away in the stretch drive to be a clear third albeit well back off the lead duo at the finish line. C C CASINO had a poor start breaking slowly then having to be taken up briefly when the inside runner was forced out, spotted the field many lengths down the backstretch, closed the gap being coaxed for more in the turn running, veered out widest in the eight path having trouble negotiating the final turn and after all that still kept stubbornly coming on through the lane and with one late surge outside got up outside foes right at the wire for a minor placing in the end. FRIDAY'S GRACE was tucked in on the rail in tandem with an outside foe watching the embattled duo along the backside and throughout the turn, skimmed the fence in getting into contention at the top of the lane but finished up one paced between foes in deep stretch losing the picture for a minor award. CANDYCREST prompted the early pace on the rail, poked his head in front inside at the half, maintained a slim advantage in the rail throughout the turn, surrendered the lead to the winner when shifting out to two path in upper stretch and had little left to offer folding on the rail in the final furlong. TOWNLINE BERTIE leapt up on the break, recovered to have a good position on the outside of another while tracking the engaged lead twosome down the backside, continued to watch the front pair through the turn, was urged for more with a right handed crop two wide between runners offering no response and emptied out in the four path by upper stretch.
