Chart notes
SNIPE HUNT stalked the pace three wide, led in mid-stretch, drifted in the final sixteenth and rallied clear. PENNILESS PAULY dueled outside, repelled that rival, was hooked again, steadied late and was outfinished. SIXTY SIX BOOKS made a menacing five wide move on the turn then flattened out in the stretch. CHEF SPARROW awaited room inside, angled out the turn then lacked a closing kick. KPNUPWITHTHEJONES trailed to the stretch, swung wide and was no threat. CANNONBURY earned a narrow advantage inside, vied to the quarter pole and weakened. Following a steward's inquiry and an objection by the second finisher against the first finisher for interference in the stretch, the result was allowed to stand.
