Chart notes
STASSI set an uncontested pace in the two path, came under pressure passing the three-eighths pole, faced off with an outer challenger passing the quarter, but dug in down the stretch to hold sway. MY SUGAR BOO stalked the pacesetter up the backstretch, was coaxed from the three path into the far turn, bid passing the quarter, dueled with an inner rival down the stretch, but could not get past to be second best. MITI FAST FLOWER trailed in the three path, was ridden in the five path midway around the far turn, fanned out to the six path at the top of the lane, and kept on for show. WINK OF AN EYE steadied early, rated in the four path, was coaxed along around the far turn, but made no impact. ALWAYS ANGELS chased inside, angled out to the three path while coming under a ride midway around the far turn, floated out to the five path at the top of the stretch, but flattened in the final furlong.
