HOT STOVE LEAGUE went around the first turn in the two path, set the pace through reasonable fractions, vied inside on the far turn, was headed outside the quarter-pole, dueled gamely with the winner in the stretch and just missed while able to get the place. HIDDEN ENEMY (IRE) broke in at the start, went around the first turn in the two path, was rated under a snug hold, saved ground on the far turn, was put to a drive in upper stretch and finished willingly for the show. COMMITTED raced in the two path on the first turn, settled off the pace, rounded the far turn in the two path, was roused outside the quarter-pole then came three wide into the stretch and improved position. KOBLA MAS was bumped at the start and forced in, saved ground on the first turn, was rated just off the pace, chased in the two path on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and lacked the needed kick. SHARP ROCKET went three wide on the first turn, was rated towards the front, came under urging while two to three wide on the far turn, angled out under a drive just inside the three-sixteenths and failed to rally. FREDDY FLINTSHIRE went three wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged three wide on the turn, hesitated an took an awkward stride outside the quarter-pole, shifted five wide into the stretch, moved out under a drive around the three-sixteenths then drifted further out and failed to threaten. WEATHER PRAYER went two to three wide on the turns, came four wide into the stretch and was no factor. LORING PARK went four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, was roused four wide on the far turn and failed to respond. POIRIER went five wide on the first turn, was forwardly placed on the outside, chased four wide on the far turn then came five wide into the stretch, was carried out near the three-sixteenths and had nothing left. K RULES raced inside to the two path on the turns and showed little. PANENKA broke out at the start, went four wide on the first turn, settled towards the back, was urged three wide on the far turn, came six wide into the stretch, moved out near the three-sixteenths and also failed to respond. STORY OF THE NIGHT went six wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, went three to four wide on the far turn and never reached contention. SOUL COAXING bumped with a rival at the start, was taken in hand early then keen into the first turn, went five wide on that bend, settled more kindly on the backstretch, started the far turn in the two path, angled four then five wide nearing the five-sixteenths and was outrun.
