Chart notes

SPOKANE EAGLE gave chase about the four path down the backstretch, took the lead two deep at the quarter pole, raced clear on the turn and held well under steady handling. D C FIREMAN gave early chase toward the outside, rounded the turn in the four path and finished evenly to be second best. UNION GRACE raced hemmed in toward the inside and rounded the turn at the rail, angled four wide into the stretch and got up for third mid-stretch. BUCKED TOOTH gave only distant early chase, rounded the turn about the six path and passed rivals in the stretch. ON THIS DAY gave chase off the rail, though, weakened the final furlong. BEARCAT KITTEN gave chase outside and weakened in the five path on the turn. KUCHEROV was hustled clear and angled to the inside to set the pace, gave up the lead at the rail nearing the quarter pole, dropped back on the turn and weakened.
