Chart notes
MEAN BEAN stalked two deep the first turn, bid leaving the three eighths pole and rounded the far turn about the three path, dug in leaving the turn and got up under the wire. RUSH TO THE CASTLE rated the pace inside, came under pressure toward the five sixteenths pole, widened the advantage through the turn but was nipped under the wire. OPERA NITE stalked from the three path, picked up the chase leaving the three eighths pole and raced evenly down the lane. WILLIAM AND MARY saved early ground racing well off the pace then eased out into the backstretch, picked up the chase from the seven sixteenths pole, entered the far turn just off the rail, angled out approaching the far turn and ran evenly through the stretch. CAYENNE CREEK saved ground through the first turn then picked up the chase leaving the half mile pole, rounded the far turn about the three path but was carried out toward the head of the lane and showed little further. ELLIE'S LIL MAN settled back about the three path the first turn, gave chase from the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn in the six path and showed little more.
