STAR BANJO was hustled from the start, raced inside on the first turn, moved out under urging on the backstretch, advanced closer near the seven-sixteenths, chased four wide on the far turn, passed the quarter-pole under the whip, pursued the runner-up on the outside into the final sixteenth and got up under vigorous handling in a prolonged drive. RIFLE MAN broke awkwardly and was off a bit slow, went around the first turn in the two path, settled near the back, moved closer with a half-mile to run then gained more late on the backstretch, moved out at the three-eighths, ranged up three wide on the far turn, took the lead passing the quarter-pole, was roused coming to the three-sixteenths, led under a drive into the final sixteenth but was caught while clear for the place. LOOKING FOR BULL broke out a bit at the start, went five wide on the first turn, settled at the rear on the outside, was roused while two then three wide on the far turn, held a reasonable striking position under a drive into the final furlong but flattened out while just able to get the show. REMEMBERMIS went four wide on the first turn, was urged along on the outside, moved closer with a half-mile to run, was ridden along while five wide on the far turn, floated six wide into the stretch, drifted out some outside the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed kick then just missed the show. TAKING NOTES was hustled from the start, went three wide on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, took the lead while three then two wide on the far turn, lost the advantage passing the quarter-pole, dropped back into the stretch and tired. BEAUTY BOY was hustled to the lead, raced inside on the first turn, came off the rail midway down the backstretch, was asked nearing the three-eighths, dropped back to the rail into the far turn, lost the advantage nearing the five-sixteenths and stopped then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
