KATIE'S KARAT broke a step slow then was bumped by a foe, went two to three wide on the first turn, settled at the rear, was roused two then three wide on the far turn, rallied five wide into the stretch, closed fast to get the lead just inside the furlong marker, drifted in while moving clear under a hand ride outside the sixteenth-pole and drew away under mild hand urging. BLONDE ON TAP went three wide on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, turned up the pressure on the leader in the three path on the far turn, took the advantage outside the quarter-pole, drifted out some inside the three-sixteenths then was put to a right-handed whip, lost the advantage just inside the furlong marker and proved no match for the winner while clear for the place. BUSINESS LADY broke out and bumped with a foe, went to the front, set the pace in the two path, came under urging at the half-mile pole, vied in the two path while inside of the runner-up on the far turn, lost the lead outside the quarter-pole, dropped back into the stretch and tired. DANZA LAUREN moved out on the initial straightaway, shifted from three to four wide very early on the first turn, was rated under restraint on that bend, settled more kindly while outside on the backstretch, was urged along while moving from three to five wide on the far turn and faltered.
