FREEPORT JOE sat just off the early pace while traveling in the two path down the backstretch, advanced position along the far turn, engaged TRASH TALKIN CAT in the stretch, and outbattled that rival for the win. TRASH TALKIN CAT was hustled early to set fractions, settled on the lead while maintaining a ground saving trip, was confronted by FREEPORT JOE in the stretch and was outfinished in the final stages. CAPITAL CALL had no early speed while settling at the rear of the field, slipped onto the rail along the far turn, swung three wide for the stretch drive and finished evenly while running on his left lead. SECOND BOLD sat off pace through the early stages, traveled in the three path down the backside, vied for the lead entering the far turn, and had no late rally. CROI MOR showed early speed to sit just off pace, lost position entering the far turn, and weakened in the stretch run.
