Chart notes
COACH KENNY was urged along on the outside, chased four wide on the turn, drifted out under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, dropped back in the process, chased the runner-up while taking a straighter course in the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth and got up in the final strides to prevail. FIFTY PROTECTION showed the way down the backstretch, vied inside on the turn, shook clear in upper stretch, remained clear into the final sixteenth but was caught while clear for the place. SUGARLAND EXPRESS was taken in hand early then became rank under restraint, moved out then leveled out more kindly, made a bid while three wide on the turn, spun four wide into the stretch and weakened while clear for the show. K T'S JILTED GROOM was urged along towards the back on the outside, went three wide on the turn, came four wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response. MIGHTY ABLE was urged along on the outside near the back, went four wide on the turn, came six wide into the stretch and was no factor. HOTPIN broke a bit slow then was taken up, spotted the front a few lengths, saved ground on the turn, swung eight wide into the stretch and was no factor. MIND ON MY MONEY settled off the pace, was urged along while three wide on the turn and came up empty. SINGLE SHOT broke a step slow, was taken in hand near the five-eighths then dropped in midway down the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path and failed to respond. CAPTAIN NOBLE was hustled from the start, showed speed on the inside of a foe then dropped just off the pace, saved ground on the turn and retreated.
