Chart notes
TRAVEL COLUMN angled in at the start, went four wide on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the far turn, took the lead outside the quarter-pole, responded well when asked approaching the three-sixteenths, shook clear into the final furlong and extended the advantage under steady handling before being eased up in the final strides. CLAIRIERE went three wide on the first turn, was reserved between horses on the backstretch, moved from three to five wide while roused on the far turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick while up for the place. SOUPER SENSATIONAL went around the first turn in the two path, set the pace through moderate fractions, vied inside to the two path under urging on the far turn, lost the lead outside the quarter-pole and weakened but was clear for the show. OBLIGATORY rounded the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace, was urged along midway down the backstretch, dropped back in the two path under strong urging on the far turn and failed to rally. LI'L TOOTSIE went three wide on the first turn, settled towards the front, chased three to four wide on the far turn, dropped back while still on her inside lead in upper stretch and tired. ZAAJEL broke a step slow, saved ground on the first turn, became rank under restraint late on that bend, leveled out near the five-eighths, dropped back under urging on the far turn and capitulated. IL MALOCCHIO had her path taken at the start, went four wide on the first turn, was reserved on the outside, dropped back under urging while four wide on the far turn, was driven five wide into the stretch and failed to respond.
